Zongolopoulos 1990

It is not excessive to say that the contribution of the year in the ''world of hope''- as Marcuse defined painting and sculpting- is Zongolopoulos' sculpting work (Goethe Institute). The age of the artist has nothing to do with that evaluation; on the contrary, in any other case it could be used as an extenuation.

It is admirable that although an artist like him could become complacent after so many years of work, he produces fresh and firm artworks.
