Elena Zong, the Greek artist, is exhibiting at Galerie Motte an ensemble of recent compositions, many of them being immense in size. She makes use of vivid orange, reds and yellows which gives a glow of luminous intensity to the canvas that is of an equivalent shine to the Greek light. Abstract in the pattern of her work, there is nonetheless a constant reference to the elements such as rain or the seasons treated dramatically. The texture of these paintings through which an inner light would seem to circulate, is of a remarkable refinement.
