The George Zongolopoulos Foundation, the Slovak Embassy and Grammar School Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav extend their collaboration for a 4th year.
We are delighted to announce the continuation of the successful collaboration between the George Zongolopoulos Foundation, the Embassy of Slovakia, and Grammar School Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav in Dolný Kubín.
On March 19, 2025 a virtual meeting was held via video call, attended by H.E. Ambassador of Slovakia, Ms. Marcela Hanusová, and the President of the Foundation, Mr. Nikos Theodoridis. Together with the school’s professor, Mr. Peter Strezo, they announced the launch of the 4th annual visual arts competition "Landart & Jungart", themed:

The competition is open to the school’s students, and the three winners will have the opportunity to travel to Athens on June 2, 2025, where they will: Visit the home of George and Eleni Zongolopoulos, featuring original works by the artists Tour the outdoor sculpture garden in Psychiko, experiencing firsthand the legacy of this iconic Greek sculptor
With the invaluable support of Slovak Ambassador Ms. Marcela Hanusová, Consul General Ms. Mária Burčíková, and the school’s educators, this cultural bridge between Greece and Slovakia continues to thrive, celebrating art, creativity, and youth engagement.
