The George Zongolopoulos Foundation commemorating 110 years since the birth of its founder, created numbered reproductions of George Zongolopoulos sculptures, and a jewelry line inspired by the sculptures. Along with unique silkscreens produced by George Zongolopoulos himself, numbered sculptures and the complete range of jewelry are concentrated and exhibited in the municipality where the sculptor lived and created.
The artworks that are presented in the exhibition are numbered and certified for their authenticity by the George Zongolopoulos Foundation. The sculptures were made by the craftsman who worked with George Zongolopoulos, while all silkscreens produced by the artist himself will not be reproduced by the Foundation.
All numbered sculptures, silkscreens and jewelry are presented with original sculptures, drawings and paintings of George Zongolopoulos at the Centre for Visual Arts G. Karydis in the Municipality of Filothei - Psychiko from 15 to 28 April 2013.
A chance to meet the work of George Zongolopoulos and obtain an authentic reproduction of his art.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Organization for Social Solidarity, Culture and Sports (OKAPA) of the Municipality of Filothei-Psychiko and the George Zongolopoulos Foundation.

About the exhibition
A century and ten years!
This huge amount of time that separates us from the birth of George Zongolopoulos is in stark contrast with his artworks that remain fresh, alive and contemporary.
George Zongolopoulos gave to the sculptures breath that made them able to "travel" in time with the same ease with which they integrate the vacuum in space and make it an integral part of their forms.
Many of his works are composed of simple - primitive geometric shapes such as lines, circles, squares. As he said himself: "The sculpture is in many tumors, and is also lined. Sculpture is today a shadow. It is not only set in the volume, in the solid. There is some progress and someone slowly reaches to the pointing of creating things with lines."
The George Zongolopoulos Foundation commemorating this year the 110 years since the birth of its founder presents for the first time along with the original works, the numbered sculptures, silkscreens and jewelry - faithful miniatures of the sculptures.
All the bases of the exhibits, the stainless steel tables and the boxes made of plexiglas come from the house and the studio of George Zongolopoulos.
