The George Zongolopoulos Foundation participated in the presentation event of the rehabilitation study of the first primary school of Kifissia, fulfilled by the Architectural Design Office A.R.C.H-M.I.D Ltd., held on Thursday 7.6.2012, at the 1st Primary School of Kifissia.
The school was designed by the sculptor George Zongolopoulos in 1931, who during 1930-1938 served as an architect at the Architectural Department of the Ministry of Education, designing student school clusters, small museums and churches.
The event was attended by many parents and for the building spoke the President of the George Zongolopoulos Foundation Mr. Nicos Theodoridis, the Emeritus Professor of National Technical University of Athens and Head of the Archives of Modern Architecture of the Benaki Museum Mrs. Maro Adami-Kardamitsi, the Mayor of Kifissia Mr. Nikos Chiotakis, the Kifissia Deputy Mayor Mr. Nikos Panayiotou and Mr. Paraschos Karavatakis, Representative of the Architectural Design Office A..R.C.H.-M.I.D.
