The War Museum and the Greek Sculptors Association with the participation of George Zongolopoulos Foundation co-organize and invite you to the opening of the group sculpture exhibition “1821. Revolution Against All Servitude” which will take place in the courtyard of the War Museum, presenting 72 sculptures by 42 artists on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the start of the Greek War of Independence.
The Georgios Zongolopoulos Foundation participates with a rare early work by Georgios Zongolopoulos, the Equestrian statue of Georgios Karaiskakis, whose form is preserved to this day in wax and is kept in the Foundation’s collection.
