We have the joy and the honor to host on Sunday March 8, 12:00, at our established monthly guided tours, Mr. Evangelos Gazis Professor of Experimental Particle Physics, National Technical University of Athens and at CERN.
The activities of the CERN center, beyond strictly scientific research, also influence the creation of art in all its forms—Painting, sculpture, poetry, cinema, etc.—inspired by the center’s activities. Such as, for example, the film Angels and Demons (Illuminati), part of which was filmed on the premises of CERN. George Zongolopoulos, wishing to incorporate movement into his works through water, air, light, electricity, engaged with the natural sciences, and thus CERN touches upon his work, particularly in the piece “Void and Sphere,” which one could consider to be inspired by the Bing Bang, that is, the Big Bang that created the world.
