DESCRIPTION: The sculpture by Giorgos Zongolopoulos was awarded in 1985 in the competition for the erection of the National Resistance Monument at Gorgopotamos. Giorgos Zongolopoulos’s composition was based on the concept of a National Unity monument that would demonstrate the solidarity of the Greeks.
