The George Zongolopoulos Foundation and the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Stelios Angeloudis, Take Part in World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse (November 19, 2024)
Dear members, friends, and partners,
On the occasion of the World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the George Zongolopoulos Foundation actively participated in international events and awareness initiatives dedicated to this critical issue.
Observed annually on November 19, this dayaims to raise public awareness and strengthen action for the protection of children from all forms of abuse.
As part of these efforts, the Foundation collaborated with the Mayor of Thessaloniki, Mr. Stelios Angeloudis, and UNESCO, supporting the shared mission of creating a safer and healthier environment for children around the world.

One of the most powerful moments of our participation was the illumination of the Umbrellas of Thessaloniki, a work by George Zongolopoulos, in the blue color symbolizing the World Day against Child Abuse.
This illumination was not only an artistic gesture, but also a strong message of solidarity and awareness.
Through art, we conveyed the urgent need for protection, respect, and safety for children in every corner of the world.
We thank you for your support and invite you to continue the effort with us for a world where every child can grow up in safety and dignity.
